A Note from the Teacher
I am in awe as I watched my students come from way behind two weeks ago in AR points to successfully completing their goals for the year! WHEW! Your children worked incredibly hard and deserve such great recognition. I am so proud of each and every one of them!
As we wrap up our year, we still have a few items to complete our list of things to do as second graders. This week we will be finishing up some projects like book reports and our Bible parable lapbooks. Just wait until you see what we have learned about the parables Jesus told His people.
Mad Dog Math has come to an end! There will not be any more testing this year! You have all worked so hard with this and should be proud of your efforts!
This Wednesday we will be cleaning chairs with cleanser and water outside. Please bring sponges and brushes to scrub those dirty chairs and towels too to dry them.
As you know, our pool party is Thursday from 12:00-2:30. You may pick up your child at the McPerson's house at 2:00 if you would like. Otherwise, they will be transported back to school to be picked up there. Also, it was not mentioned, please have your daughters wear one piece bathing suits.
Our nice slip auction is this Wednesday so please send two small items that have been gently used to share.
Thank you to all of you for your dedication to making this year a success. Your children were such a delight to work with each and every day as we learned so much together academically and spiritually. It was a privilege and honor to be your child's second grade teacher. You will remain in my prayers as we take a break over the summer to do something different! May God bless you always. You will truly be missed!
